Here, Kabir Saheb shows compassion for the state of the world around him. From his standpoint as an enlightened being (jivanmukta), he laments the endless churning of the wheel that is samsara aka the rat race. The pair of stones represents duality (dvaita) -- for most people are stuck in the duality of the ego and the world which leads to their destruction.
